We are currently seeking a Demand Planner to join our growing organization. The Demand Planner is a key role in the company’s successful execution of the Executive Sales & Operations (S&OP) process. The role is responsible for initiating, guiding refinement of, and generating consensus for, the global Demand Plan that is jointly owned by Sales and Product Management. Based in the EMEA High Wycombe Office they act as an integral link in this process. This is a new role and would suit an individual looking to grow their established demand planning skills

The role has four key components:

  • Building relationships with relevant stakeholders in the EMEA region to ensure accurate & timely insights into the demand of our products
  • Modelling the data / insights received into an excel demand forecast and analyzing the outputs
  • The creation of relevant management reports senior management in both the UK and US and the participation in monthly demand/supply calls
  • The monitoring of the stock received against the demand placed

This is a new role and would suit an individual looking to grow their established demand planning skills

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities 

  • Based on historical data and trends, provide analyses to be used for input into S&OP. 
  • Analyze trend and historical sales data, along with addition provided intelligence to complete a demand and supply landscape.
  • Build strong relationships with Sales Functions & Customers in EMEA to understand better industry trends and therefore more informed forecasting 
  • Provide analytic result for a the unconstrained Demand Forecast
  • Support, and actively participate in, the company’s Executive S&OP process, to reconcile the company’s single forecast, while taking into account interaction of demand and supply perspectives
  • Participate, along with Materials Management, in the maintenance and management of forecasting and demand planning tools
  • Research anomalies of forecasts to trends, plans and/or expectations
  • Develop regular forecast variance performance reports, and distribute them to stakeholders
  • Support EMEA Account Coordinators (and other personnel) on questions of stock availability 
  • Assist with special projects – for example End of Life Products
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Requirements 

  • Proficiency with systems and data to support forecasts and reporting for sales, inventory and product management
  • Strong capability for data analysis, including knowledge of database concepts, advanced Excel and Access skills, and experience mining data from multiple sources
  • High-level problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Self-motivated and success oriented
  • Natural curiosity and internal drive to understand interrelationships and impacts of/on business operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively across broad levels of the organization, including international employees and members of department leadership

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • Educated to degree level
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in demand/supply analytics 
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience ( Industry & Practice)
  • Commercial fitness industry experience and/or familiarity with commercial gym equipment a plus
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel a must)
  • Working familiarity with financial systems and data (Oracle), as well as customer relationship management (CRM) systems 
  • Comfort interacting with global team members across various demand-side functions, including department leaders
