Forecast & Scheduling Manager – Fresh Food Production.

Multi-Site – Staffordshire Base.

Up to £55,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance.

A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and progressive individual to take ownership of a new role which will integrate demand forecasting and production scheduling across a 4-site fresh food production business.

As part of a European company with a growing international presence, the UK business has doubled its turnover in the last 2 years through organic growth and acquisitions. The new Forecast & Scheduling Manager position will focus on integrating, rationalising and developing the systems and teams within the function, forming a platform to support further business growth.

Reporting to the Operations Director and leading a multi-site team, this pivotal role will include:

  • Working with commercial, marketing and other relevant parties to develop and maintain accurate demand forecasting.
  • Managing the sales & operational planning process, providing business planning and analysis support.
  • Creating capacity models and planning scenarios for each site.
  • Planning production across all processes on all sites, incorporating bottleneck constraints, planned maintenance and labour planning.
  • Providing material demand guidance to procurement to ensure efficient supply and usage of raw materials.

Key attributes and experiences are likely to include:

  • Proven experience in forecasting and multi-site production scheduling in a fresh food environment.
  • Sound working knowledge of ERP systems and excellent spreadsheet skills.
  • A collaborative approach to working, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work under own initiative and make things happen; not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Highly numerate with strong data analysis capabilities.
