The Invoice Auditing Lead coordinates the activities of one departmental functional area leading the work of team members. The Lead is responsible for ensuring that a group of auditing errors are being corrected timely and accurately in accordance with company and customer business requirements. The Lead will be the first point of contact for staff members to address any questions regarding their area of responsibility and will regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment to plan and accomplish functional area objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for staff level training on a specific functional area of the Audit Department • Administers staff planning to ensure that daily work is assigned addressing both volume and aging considerations when assigning work • Conducts random audits of work completed for accuracy measurement purposes • Conduct meetings as necessary to keep group informed of work related news • Manage training path for new hires in group • Acts as a point of contact for business partners on day-to-day freight audit communications and problem resolution • Other duties assigned
Qualifications and Key Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent • 1-3 year experience in freight auditing or similar auditing role is desirable • Excellent verbal and written communication • Attention to detail • Discerns facts from emotion in tense situations • Language skills: ability to read and comprehend instruction • Excellent customer service skills • Computer skills: Basic MS Office skills (strong Excel, excellent data analysis skills using word processing software, spreadsheets, e-mail and Internet
