The Franchisee Shipping Center is an independent company, with sales of over 6 million, that provides franchisees with promotional tools, smallwares and printed products that are economically priced. We are looking for an experienced "Logistics Purchasing Manager" to join our Franchisee Shipping Center team in Milford, CT.
The Logistics Purchasing Manager position will be responsible for managing, developing, and implementing supply chain metrics and strategies and solutions to ensure products are available in all facilities. This position will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the purchasing team. Positions responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods across all distribution facilities.
Negotiate and contact with suppliers and carriers. Product lines include but not limited to, print, apparel, POP and promotional. Provide import/exporting solutions.
Provides assistance and leadership to Purchasing team so they are proficient on all tasks.
Analyze data to monitor performance plan improvements and demand.
Manages supplier scorecards by supplying quarterly reports.
Position requirements include; BA/BS degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of Transportation/Logistics/Purchasing responsibilities. Technical expertise in imports/exports and domestic transportation strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, have the ability to hand multiple tasks, and also possess outstanding people, leadership, and negotiation skills. Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
