About the role
You are an inspiring individual who leads, motivates and develops your large team in a fast-paced retail distribution transport operation. As a member of the senior management team on site, you liaise with warehouse managers, internal stakeholders and third party distributors to positively influence the overall retail experience for the customer.
You proactively focus on the maximising the use of resources in order to meet all the delivery and maintenance schedules, whilst ensuring compliance with current legal requirements. Passionate about getting it right first time, you consistently review and adapt processes to ensure you are running a market leading cost effective transport operation.
With your strong transport experience and CPC qualification you are an expert when it comes to legislation, and also consistently delivering results. Being a leader is second nature; you coach, develop and mentor your team of Transport Team Managers to deliver, even when the pressure is on. You continually set high standards in service, safety and cost whilst challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement within the operation.
